Dropcause is a churn analytics tool for SaaS founders, operated by Ben Battle, based in the United Kingdom. You can contact us at hello@dropcause.com.
We collect your email address when you sign up. When you connect your Stripe account, we access subscription and customer data from your Stripe account — specifically cancellation events and customer email addresses. We store this data in our database to power your dashboard and send survey emails on your behalf. We do not store full payment card details.
We use your data to provide the Dropcause service — detecting cancellations, sending survey emails to your customers, and displaying analytics on your dashboard. We do not sell your data or your customers' data to third parties. We do not use your data for advertising.
When Dropcause sends a survey email to one of your customers, we store their email address and their survey response. This data is visible only to you on your dashboard. We act as a data processor on your behalf — you remain the data controller for your customers' data.
We retain your account data for as long as your account is active. If you cancel your account, we will delete your data within 30 days upon request. Survey response data is retained indefinitely unless you request deletion.
We use the following third-party services: Stripe (payment processing and subscription data), Supabase (database and authentication), Resend (email sending), and Vercel (hosting). Each of these services has their own privacy policy.
If you are based in the EU or UK, you have the right to access, correct, or delete your personal data. You also have the right to data portability and the right to object to processing. To exercise these rights, contact us at hello@dropcause.com.
We use cookies only for authentication purposes — to keep you logged in. We do not use tracking or advertising cookies.
We may update this privacy policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes via email.
